Dear Doctor,
Thank you for your interest in the RCCSS(C) Sports Sciences Residency Program (SSRP). The SSRP was instituted in 1984 with the mission to provide the chiropractic profession with the most qualified sports chiropractors worldwide.
The RCCSS(C) is very proud of the evolution of its training program that now includes a nation-wide self-directed post-secondary institution-based program. This program is designed to allow field practitioners the opportunity to maintain their private practice while they work to meet the academic, written and practical requirements of the SSRP. Many Residents are afforded the opportunity to complete a concurrent Masters while completing their SSRP requirements. Presently, there are chiropractors completing the SSRP requirements in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Halifax.
After completing the program requirements, Residents are eligible to sit the SSRP exiting Fellowship Examination. Upon successful completion, Residents are afforded the title of ‘Fellow’ of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sport Sciences (Canada) with all the rights and privileges of a chiropractic sports specialist in Canada and throughout the world.
Included in this information package is a detailed description of the SSRP, its core academic, written and practical requirements, fee schedule, application submission information and program application. Please review the enclosed information package and contact us with any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Dr. Dominique Forand Yedon, BSc, DC, FRCCSS(C)
